Dial M For Mobile Fraud

More retailers are identifying the potential revenue streams by using smartphones as a means of ‘app currency’ to purchase or redeem items and also as a means of re-energising the High Street experience. However, few are taking equal care over the security risks of its application and the associated brand damage caused by fraudulent voucher sales, rogue purchase or stolen identities through near field communication (NFC), or mobile commerce enabled phones used for voucher redemption or payments.

Armed Forces And Veterans Group Teams Up With GB Group

Identity Management vendor GB Group has been selected by the Armed Forces and Veterans Group (AFVG) to provide its award winning Identity Verification service for the newly launched AFV Privilege Card and Rewards Scheme. The scheme will be available for serving men and women, veterans and their families, and supports the ‘Armed Forces Covenant’ which sets out the Government’s policy aimed at improving the support available for the Armed Forces community.

2012 CyberSource UK Online Fraud Report Launches

UK online merchants are bucking the downward business trend and expecting continued growth in 2012 according to the eighth annual UK Online Fraud Report, an independent survey undertaken by CyberSource. Digital goods businesses are growing particularly strongly; those anticipating growth in 2012 are forecasting an average 33% increase in online revenues.

In 2012, SAS say that by using their systems, retailers will be able to shave hours, if not days, off the critical processes of forecasting demand and adjusting local pricing.

Security Remains Biggest Challenge For 2012
